§ 18680 Cumulative Remedies For Subpoenas

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can still make people come to hearings and bring documents, even if they use other ways to solve the problem.
  • •If someone doesn’t listen to the board’s order to come or bring papers, the board can ask a court to make them do it.
  • •This rule doesn’t take away any other powers the board has to fix problems.

Example

A worker refuses to show up at a hearing about a problem at their job.

The board can ask a court to force the worker to come to the hearing, even if they already tried other ways to solve the problem.
