§ 16508 Treasurer'S Deposit Liability Limit

• •The Treasurer is not responsible for money kept in a bank under this law.
• •If something happens to the money while it's in the bank, the Treasurer won't fix it or pay you back.
• •This rule was updated in 1957.

You put your money in a bank because the law says so.

If the bank loses your money or goes out of business, the Treasurer won't help you get it back.
