§ 14663 State Property Boundary Establishment

Key Takeaways

  • •The state can agree with private landowners to set clear property lines between state land and private land.
  • •The state director can sign papers to make these property lines official.
  • •This only happens if the state agency in charge says it's okay.

Example

Imagine your backyard fence is right next to a state park, but no one is sure where your land ends and the park begins.

The state can work with you to decide exactly where the line is and sign papers to make it official so there’s no confusion later.
