§ 12624 International Student Exchange Fund

• •There is a special fund in the state treasury called the 'Registry of International Student Exchange Visitor Placement Organizations Fund'.
• •All fees collected by the Attorney General related to this law go into this fund.
• •The money in this fund can only be used by the Attorney General to manage and enforce this law, but only after the Legislature approves it.

A company that brings international students to live with host families pays a fee to the state.

This fee goes into a special fund. Later, if the Legislature agrees, the Attorney General can use this money to check if the company is following the rules for hosting students.
