§ 12329 Biennial Treasury Report

• •Every two years, by September 15th, the Treasurer must tell the Governor how much money the state has.
• •The report must include a summary of all the money the state received and spent in the last two years.
• •This helps the Governor and others understand the state's money situation.

Imagine you have a piggy bank, and every two years, you count all the money in it and write down how much you saved and spent.

The state does the same thing with its money. The Treasurer counts all the money the state has and tells the Governor about it.
