§ 11893 Department Cost Allocation

Key Takeaways

  • •The Department of FISCal has costs to run things, like paying workers or buying supplies.
  • •These costs are paid for by taking money from different funds, not just one place.
  • •The way they take this money follows rules from another part of the law (Section 11274).

Example

Imagine a school needs money to pay for teachers and books.

Instead of using just one pot of money, the school takes a little from different accounts, like the sports fund and the lunch fund, to cover these costs. The Department of FISCal does something similar to pay its bills.
