§ 11250 Interagency Service Cost Recovery

Key Takeaways

  • •If a state group (paid by the big state money pot) helps another state group (not paid by that pot), the helping group can charge for their work.
  • •The group that got help must pay for it from their own money.
  • •This is like borrowing a toy from a friend and having to give them something in return.

Example

A state park (paid by the big state money pot) helps the DMV (paid by driver fees) by lending them trucks for a month.

The DMV has to pay the state park for using the trucks, using their own money from driver fees.
