§ 6555 Branch Office Application Hearings

• •The boss (commissioner) can decide to have a meeting before approving a new branch office.
• •If there's a meeting, they must tell people at least 10 days before it happens.
• •Anyone can go to the meeting (or send someone for them) to explain why the new office should not be allowed.

A bank wants to open a new branch in your neighborhood.

The boss in charge can call a meeting to talk about it. They have to send out notices at least 10 days before the meeting. You or your neighbor can go to the meeting and say why you think the new bank branch is a bad idea.
