§ 604 Commissioner Appoints Conservator

Key Takeaways

  • •If the government takes over a business (like a bank or insurance company), they can pick someone to manage it.
  • •The person they pick can be called a 'conservator,' 'liquidator,' or 'receiver.'
  • •This person’s job is to either fix the business or close it down properly.

Example

A small bank is in big trouble and can’t pay its customers. The government steps in to take control.

The government can then choose someone (like a financial expert) to either save the bank or shut it down safely so customers don’t lose all their money.
