§ 6003 Mutual Association Voting Rights

• •Each member of a mutual association gets one vote for every $100 in their savings account.
• •No member can have more than 1,000 votes, even if they have a lot of money in their account.
• •You can't save up votes to use all at once for picking directors.

If you have $500 in your savings account at a credit union.

You get 5 votes (one for each $100) when the credit union asks members to vote on something. Even if you had $200,000 in your account, you’d still only get 1,000 votes max.
