§ 50507 False Financial Record Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •If you're in charge of a company's money records, you can't lie or write fake stuff in them.
  • •You can't hide or refuse to show the records to the people who check them.
  • •If you do these things on purpose, you're breaking the law.

Example

The manager of a bank tells an employee to write down that the bank has more money than it really does in the official books.

This is breaking the law because the manager is making a fake entry in the bank's records on purpose.
