§ 50326 Mortgage Licensee Reporting Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •If you have a special license (like for helping people with home loans), you must send reports on time.
  • •If you send the report late (more than 10 days), you pay $100 for each day you're late, up to 10 days.
  • •If you keep being late or miss important stuff in the report, you could lose your license.

Example

A company that helps people get home loans forgets to send a report about their loans to the government.

If they send the report 5 days late, they have to pay $500 (5 days x $100). If they keep doing this, the government can take away their license so they can't help people with loans anymore.
