§ 414 Department Expense Payment Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss of the banking department can pay for things using money from different bank accounts if needed.
  • •If the boss uses money from the wrong account, they must pay it back before the year ends.
  • •This is only for the banking department, not for regular people or other departments.

Example

Imagine the banking department needs to buy new computers, but the money for computers is in Account A. However, Account A is empty, but Account B has extra money.

The boss can use the money from Account B to buy the computers right away. But before the year ends, the boss must move the correct amount of money from Account A to Account B to pay it back.
