§ 31801 Licensee Record Inspection

Key Takeaways

  • •If you are in charge of keeping records for a business with a license, you must show them to the commissioner if asked.
  • •You cannot refuse to let the commissioner check or copy the records on purpose.
  • •This rule is about making sure businesses follow the rules by letting officials see their records.

Example

You own a small restaurant and have a license to sell food. An official comes in and asks to see your records of what food you bought and sold.

You have to show them the records. If you say no and hide the records on purpose, you are breaking the law.
