§ 31508 Licensee Recordkeeping Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't let someone else handle your important papers (like money records) unless the boss (commissioner) says it's okay first.
  • •If someone else is allowed to handle your papers, they have to follow all the same rules you do.
  • •Even if it's a friend or partner helping with papers, they still have to follow the rules like they were you.

Example

You run a small store and want your friend to help keep track of the money you make and spend.

You can't just let your friend do it—you have to ask the commissioner first. If they say yes, your friend has to follow all the same rules you would for keeping those records.
