§ 31108 Commissioner Approval Of Proposals

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss (commissioner) can say 'yes' to your plan if they think you can actually do what you promised.
  • •If they say 'yes' because of your plan, they can make you stick to it by setting a deadline.
  • •The boss can check things like who you want to hire, how you’ll get money, or if you want to sell parts of your company.

Example

You want to start a new bus company and need the government’s okay.

You tell the boss, 'I’ll hire 10 drivers and buy 5 buses in 6 months.' If the boss believes you can do it, they’ll say 'yes' but make you promise to really hire those drivers and buy those buses in 6 months—no backing out.
