§ 18446 Fraudulent Property Handling Penalty

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work at a loan company and take money or stuff that isn't yours, you're breaking the law.
  • •You can't hide or lie about where the company's money or property went in the records.
  • •If you do this on purpose to trick people, it's a serious crime.

Example

A manager at a loan company takes $1,000 from the company's safe and doesn't write it down in the books.

This is breaking the law because the manager took money that wasn't theirs and didn't record it to hide what they did.
