§ 14000 Credit Union Law

• •The statute only provides a name for the credit‑union rules.
• •It does not create any new duties or rights.
• •All other credit‑union rules are found in the rest of the California Credit Union Law.

A new credit union in California looks at the state statutes and sees that the rules they must follow are part of the “California Credit Union Law.”

Because the law only names the division, the credit union knows which group of rules applies to them, but the law itself doesn’t add any new requirements.
