§ 8372 Bass Sale And Size Limits

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't sell, buy, or have certain types of bass fish (kelp bass, sand bass, or spotted bass) in places where fish are sold or food is prepared.
  • •You can't have these fish in any vehicle or boat used by a place that sells fish.
  • •You can bring these fish into the state if you follow special rules, and you might be able to sell them with special permissions.
  • •It's against the law to catch, have, or sell any of these fish if they are smaller than 10.5 inches long.

Example

You go fishing and catch a sand bass that is 9 inches long.

You can't keep this fish because it's smaller than 10.5 inches. If you try to sell it or even have it in your car while going to a fish market, you could get in trouble.
