§ 8032 Commercial Fish Business Licenses

Key Takeaways

  • •There is a special license for businesses that do many different fish-related jobs, like receiving, processing, or selling fish. This license costs $1,373 per year.
  • •If a business only does one type of fish job, like only receiving fish or only selling fish, they can get a cheaper, specialty license for just that job.
  • •The government can change the price of the main license to make sure it covers their costs, but they can't charge more than what it actually costs them.

Example

A business that buys fish from fishermen, processes the fish into fillets, and then sells those fillets to grocery stores.

This business would need the multifunction commercial fish business license because it does more than one fish-related job. They would pay $1,373 every year for this license.
