§ 2725 Land Conservation Funding Limits

This law says the state won't spend money to buy or protect land that is too damaged to grow plants, support wildlife, or protect nature for a long time.

Key Takeaways

  • •The state won't spend money on land that is too damaged to support plants or wildlife.
  • •The land must be able to protect nature for a long time to qualify for funding.
  • •This rule helps make sure money is spent on land that can actually be fixed or protected.

Example

A piece of land is full of toxic waste and nothing can grow there.

The state won't use its money to buy or fix this land because it's too broken to help plants, animals, or nature in the long run.
