§ 2721 Rare Species Land Protection

This law says money can be used to buy or protect special lands in California where very rare plants, animals, or natural areas exist.

Key Takeaways

  • •Money can be used to protect lands with super rare plants or animals.
  • •The plants or animals must be extremely rare, like only found in a few places in the whole world.
  • •The goal is to keep these special places safe so they don't vanish.

Example

There's a small forest in California where a super rare flower grows that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world.

The law allows using money to buy or protect that forest so the flower doesn't disappear.
