§ 7634 Child Support Agency Actions

Key Takeaways

  • •The local child support office can take legal action if they think it's needed to help with child support.
  • •The state can check how local offices are doing their job and find better ways to make sure people get the legal papers in person.

Example

A parent isn't paying child support like they're supposed to.

The local child support office can decide to take them to court to make them pay. The state might also check if the office is doing a good job letting people know about the court date by handing them the papers directly.
