§ 9595 Disease Control Indemnity Exclusion

• •If your animal or property is taken or destroyed to stop a disease, you won't get paid for it if you broke quarantine rules.
• •Quarantine rules are there to stop diseases from spreading—if you ignore them, you're on your own.
• •This only applies if the government had to step in because of a disease outbreak.

You own a farm, and the government tells you to keep your cows inside because of a sickness going around. You ignore the rule and let them out. The cows get sick, and the government has to kill them to stop the disease.

You won't get any money for your cows because you broke the quarantine rule.
