§ 863 Proof Of Ownership Documents

Key Takeaways

  • •Certain papers like bills of sale or electronic records can prove you own something.
  • •These papers help show who owns stuff when moving things around.
  • •If you have one of these papers, people have to believe you own what’s on it.

Example

You buy a cow from a farmer, and he gives you a signed paper saying you now own the cow.

That signed paper is proof you own the cow, and if someone questions it, you can show them the paper.
