§ 79195 Chapter Continuation Review

Key Takeaways

  • •Every 5 years, there's a check to see if people still want this law to keep running.
  • •If lots of people are unsure or don't want it, there's a vote.
  • •The law stays only if most people voting say 'yes' to keeping it.

Example

Imagine your school has a rule that everyone must wear red shirts on Fridays. Every 5 years, the principal asks if people still like this rule. If many students or parents complain or are unsure, the principal holds a vote. If most voters say 'yes,' the red shirt rule stays. If not, the rule goes away.

This law works the same way. Every 5 years, they check if people still want it. If there's a lot of doubt, there's a vote, and the law stays only if most voters agree.
