§ 78928 Surety Bond Requirement

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't pay what you owe or don't give the right papers, you might have to get a special promise (bond) to pay later.
  • •This promise (bond) makes sure you will pay what you owe on time.
  • •The people in charge decide how much this promise (bond) should be and how long you need to keep it.

Example

If you own a small store and don't pay your fees to the city on time, or forget to send in your sales records.

The city can make you get a special promise (bond) to make sure you pay what you owe later. This promise is like a guarantee that you won't skip out on your bills.
