§ 77005 Commission Actions Antitrust Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission and its people can do their jobs without breaking anti-monopoly laws.
  • •Even if their actions look like they're controlling business, it's allowed under this rule.
  • •This rule protects them from lawsuits about unfair business practices.

Example

A group of farmers work with the commission to set fair prices for their crops.

Even if some people think this controls the market too much, the farmers and the commission won't get in trouble because this law says it's okay.
