§ 74121 Referendum Implementation Requirement

Key Takeaways

  • •This law won't start working until a special vote happens.
  • •The vote must show that most people agree with the law.
  • •A boss (called the director) decides when and how the vote happens.

Example

Imagine your school wants to start a new rule, like wearing uniforms.

The rule won't actually start until the principal holds a vote, and most students or parents say 'yes' to the uniforms. Until then, the rule is just an idea.
