§ 64632 Council Financial Records Access

Key Takeaways

  • •The council must keep records of all their money stuff, like deals, contracts, and spending.
  • •These records must always be ready for the director to check or review.
  • •This rule has been around since 1967.

Example

Imagine the council buys new playground equipment for a park.

They have to write down how much they spent, who they bought it from, and save that info. If the director wants to see it later, they have to show it.
