§ 6402 Plant Import Inspection Notice

• •If your county doesn’t have a plant inspector, you must tell the state director if you bring plants into the state.
• •The director will then arrange for someone to check the plants right away.
• •This rule is to make sure no bad or sick plants come into the state.

You move to California and bring your favorite houseplants from another state.

If your new county doesn’t have a plant inspector, you have to tell the state’s agriculture director. They will send someone to check your plants to make sure they’re safe and won’t harm local plants.
