§ 64005 Dairy Product Definitions

• •Dairy products are anything made from milk.
• •This includes milk itself, cheese, yogurt, butter, and even foods that have milk in them like ice cream or cookies.
• •If a food has milk in it, even a little bit, it counts as a dairy product.

You buy a chocolate bar that has milk as one of its ingredients.

Because the chocolate bar has milk in it, it is considered a dairy product under this law.
