§ 61834 Definition Of Person

Key Takeaways

  • •This law defines who counts as a 'person' in legal terms.
  • •A 'person' can be one human, a group of people, or even a company.
  • •It includes businesses, nonprofits, and any organized group, not just individuals.

Example

If a big company like a toy store breaks a rule, this law says the company itself can be held responsible, not just the boss or workers.

The law treats the company as a 'person' who can follow or break rules, just like a single human would.
