§ 61812 Milk Price Stabilization Continuation

Key Takeaways

  • •Old rules about milk prices don't just disappear when new rules are made.
  • •The boss (director) must set new minimum prices for milk as soon as possible after new rules start.
  • •Farmers will still get paid at least the old minimum price until the new one is ready.

Example

A dairy farmer sells milk to stores.

Even if the government changes the rules about milk prices, the farmer still gets paid the old minimum price until the boss sets a new one. This way, the farmer doesn’t suddenly get paid less while waiting for new rules.
