§ 59951 Marketing Program Refunds

Key Takeaways

  • •If there's leftover money from a program that helps with education or business, it can be given back to the people who paid it.
  • •The money is only given back if there's enough to make it worth the trouble.
  • •The refund is split fairly among everyone who paid into the program.
  • •The program leaders and the director decide what's fair.

Example

Imagine a group of farmers paid money into a program to help sell more of their crops. The program ended, and there was some money left over.

The leftover money would be given back to the farmers. The amount each farmer gets back depends on how much they originally paid in.
