§ 59026 Major Marketing Order Amendments

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'major amendment' changes the rules about how much of a product (like fruit or milk) a business can sell or handle.
  • •It can add new rules or remove old ones about the amount, type, or quality of the product.
  • •This only applies to businesses in the state that deal with these products.

Example

A dairy farm wants to sell more gallons of milk than the current rules allow.

If the state changes the rules to let the farm sell more milk, that’s a 'major amendment' because it changes how much milk the farm can handle.
