§ 56411 Licensee Complaint Investigations

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone with a license (like a business or worker) does something wrong, you can complain to the director.
  • •The director has to check out the complaint, especially if it's about money problems (like not having enough money to pay bills).
  • •The director must start looking into money-related complaints within 30 days.

Example

A farmer buys seeds from a licensed seed seller, but the seller doesn’t deliver the seeds and won’t give the money back.

The farmer can complain to the director. If the complaint is about the seller not having enough money to pay back, the director must start checking within 30 days.
