§ 52993 Funding Requirement For Administration

Key Takeaways

  • •The secretary doesn't have to follow this law if there isn't enough money.
  • •The money must come from the Department of Food and Agriculture Fund or other places like the California cotton industry.
  • •The secretary checks if there's enough money before doing anything.

Example

Imagine the school wants to start a new lunch program but needs money to buy food and hire cooks.

The principal (like the secretary) won't start the program unless there's enough money in the school's lunch fund or from other sources like parents or fundraisers.
