• •To be called a farm, it must sell at least $1,000 worth of farm stuff every year.
• •If a place sells less than $1,000 of farm stuff, it’s not officially a farm.

A family grows vegetables in their backyard and sells them at a local market.

If they sell $1,500 worth of vegetables in a year, their backyard is considered a farm. If they only sell $800, it’s not a farm.
