§ 5205 Inspection And Certification Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •A person in charge (commissioner) must check things carefully before they are sent to another place.
  • •After checking, they write a paper (certificate) saying what they found.
  • •The person sending the stuff (shipper) has to pay a fee for this paper, unless there's no set fee.

Example

If you want to send a box of fruits to another country, someone has to check if the fruits are good and not rotten.

The checker (commissioner) looks at the fruits, writes a note saying they are good, and you pay a small fee for that note.
