§ 44986 Avocado Certification Stamp Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't use the avocado stamp on boxes that weren't checked by the official person first.
  • •You can't use the stamp in any way that's not allowed or against the rules given by the official person.
  • •You must give the stamp back every day after using it or when the official person asks for it.
  • •Faking or changing the stamp, or using a fake one, is not allowed and can get you in trouble.

Example

If you have a box of avocados that wasn't checked by the official person, and you put the stamp on it anyway, you're breaking the law.

The stamp is only for boxes that have been checked. Using it on unchecked boxes is like lying about the avocados being good, and that's not allowed.
