• •Important papers can be given to you in person or sent by mail.
• •If they mail it, they send it to the last address they have for you.
• •You are responsible for updating your address if you move.

You move to a new apartment but forget to tell the DMV.

If the DMV needs to send you something important, like a notice about your car registration, they will mail it to your old address. If you don’t get it because you moved, that’s on you.
