§ 42949 Altering Inspection Documents Prohibited

(a) It is unlawful for any person to alter in any respect any certificate of inspection, notice of violation, report, statement, or other document that is referred to in this division, which is issued by an enforcing officer. (b) A violation of this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than three thousand dollars ($3,000) or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or by both the fine and imprisonment. (Amended by Stats. 1989, Ch. 1068, Sec. 1. Effective September 30, 1989.)
