§ 41754 Dehydrator Inspection Station Review

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can check how inspection stations are working between November 1st and 30 days before inspections started last year.
  • •If the government thinks it’s better for saving money or working smarter, they can stop inspections at a station.
  • •They need the okay from the people running the dehydrator (a machine that removes water) before stopping inspections.

Example

A small town has an inspection station for fruits and vegetables that opens every March. The government checks it in December and sees that very few trucks come by, so it’s wasting money to keep it open.

The government can decide to close the station if the people who run the dehydrator agree. This saves money and makes the inspection process more efficient.

(Amended by Stats. 1998, Ch. 674, Sec. 9. Effective January 1, 1999.)
