§ 38908 Milk Product Manufacturing Exemptions

• •This law doesn't force companies to change how they make, sell, or deliver fake milk products (like almond milk or soy milk).
• •But if the way they make or sell these products breaks any rules in this law, they have to follow the rules.
• •Companies can keep doing things the way they always have, as long as they don’t break the law.

A company sells almond milk in a carton that looks just like regular milk.

They can keep selling it that way unless the law says they can’t (like if the law says fake milk must have a special label). If the law says nothing about the carton, they don’t have to change it.
