§ 3204 Fair Capital Outlay Funding

Key Takeaways

  • •Money left over from other fair funds can be used for big projects at California fairs, like fixing old buildings or making things safer.
  • •The money can also be used for emergencies, like if a fairground gets damaged in a storm.
  • •Some of this money can help fairs that don’t make enough money on their own to stay open.
  • •The money can be used to buy or improve things like fences or flood protection to keep the fairgrounds safe.

Example

A big storm damages the fences and some buildings at a small-town fairground.

The fair can use this money to fix the broken fences and repair the buildings so the fair can open safely next year.
