§ 29473 Honey Disposal Verification Statement

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own or have honey that hasn't been graded, you must tell an officer what you plan to do with it when asked.
  • •You have to write and sign a paper (in front of a notary) saying where the honey is going and who will get it.
  • •You must clearly describe the honey so there’s no confusion about what it is.

Example

You have a bunch of honey you made at home, and a food safety officer asks what you’re doing with it.

You have to write a signed paper (with a notary) saying you’ll follow the rules, like selling it to a specific store or using it yourself. You also have to say exactly what kind of honey it is.
