§ 29011 Beehive Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •A hive is any box or container made for bees to live in.
  • •Even if a container wasn't made for bees but bees live in it, it's still called a hive.
  • •This rule was updated in 1987.

Example

You see bees living in an old wooden box in your backyard.

That wooden box is now a hive because bees are living in it, even if it wasn't made for bees.
