§ 27534 Nonstandard Egg Sales Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Some eggs might look weird or be too small, but they’re still good to eat.
  • •These eggs can be sold straight to people for their families, not to stores.
  • •The boss in charge makes rules to let this happen safely.

Example

A farmer has eggs that are a little small or odd-shaped but are still fresh and safe.

The farmer can sell these eggs directly to you for your family to eat, even if stores won’t buy them.
