§ 24954 Product Marking Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Things must be clearly labeled or marked so everyone can see and read them easily.
  • •Labels can be tags, stamps, or brands, but they must follow the rules given in this law.
  • •The law makes sure labels are not hidden or hard to understand.

Example

You buy a toy at the store, and it has a big, clear sticker that says 'Not for kids under 3' on the front.

The law says the warning must be easy to see and read, so the toy company put a big sticker right where you can’t miss it.
